Man Struck, Killed By Train Outside DC Stadium-Armory Metro Station In Southeast

One person was killed overnight after being struck by a train in Southeast DC, officials confirmed.

First responders were called around 11 p.m. on Monday night to the Stadium-Armory station to investigate reports of a man who had been struck by a train, leading to service issues.

He was pronounced dead less than two hours later.

Investigators have not released the name of the person struck.

Following the strike, service was temporarily suspended, though it has since returned to normal operation, according to WMATA.
